Who we are
The N. Natarajan Charitable Trust, No. 1K, Gaiety Palace, 1, Blackers Road, Chennai 600002. You can write to us about
anything in this policy at thenntrust@gmail.com.
This website
The website does not use cookies, analytics or any other tracking, and it does not ask for your personal information.
- To show its pages, your browser fetches fonts from Google Fonts, animation code from cdnjs and jsDelivr, the
competition's public details from Google Sheets, and the pictures of our recordings from YouTube. As with any website,
these services receive your device's internet address when they deliver them.
- So that the Moot Court page opens quickly, your browser keeps a copy of the competition's public details, such as the
schedule. It contains nothing about you.
- Links to YouTube and other websites are governed by those websites' own policies.
What the competition forms collect
When an institution registers a team, we collect:
- the institution's name, address and PIN code;
- the name, mobile number and email address of the faculty member in charge of moot court;
- for each team member, their name, gender, year and course of study, mobile number, email address, a photograph and a
copy of their college identity card;
- the registration fee's transaction details and payment screenshot; and
- the authorisation letter signed by the Head of the Institution.
When a team submits its memorials, we collect the memorial files, and we use the team contact person's email address to
confirm that the submission comes from the team.
Why we use it
- To check that the institution is eligible, confirm the registration and issue a team code.
- To verify the registration fee and the authorisation letter.
- To write to the team and the faculty in charge, and to invite participants to the competition's WhatsApp group.
- To organise the rounds and confirm who the participants are.
- To have the memorials evaluated. Judges see each memorial by its team code only.
- To announce the results. The names and institutions of prize winners may be published on this website and on the
Trust's Instagram page.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing.
Who can see it
- The Trust's trustees and the competition's Organising Committee.
- Judges, who see the memorials by team code only, and not the registration details.
- Google, whose Sheets, Drive, Gmail and Apps Script services store and process the information for the Trust. It is
kept in the Trust's own Google account and shared only with the people above.
- Other members of the participants' WhatsApp group, who can see the phone numbers of those who join, as in any
WhatsApp group. Joining is your choice.
How long we keep it
We keep registration details, documents, payment records and memorials for one year after the final round of the
edition concerned, and then delete them. The results published on this website are kept as a lasting record of the
competition.
Keeping it safe
The information is held in the Trust's private Google account and shared only with those who need it. The forms check
every entry and every file before accepting them. No system can be perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to
protect what you share with us.
Your consent and your choices
By registering a team, the institution and every team member agree to their information being used as this policy
describes. Any of them may write to us at thenntrust@gmail.com to:
- see the information we hold about them;
- correct anything that is wrong or incomplete; or
- withdraw their consent and ask us to delete their information. Doing so before the competition ends may mean the
team cannot continue in it.
If a team member is under 18, a parent or guardian must agree before the team registers.
Questions and complaints
For any question or complaint about how your information is handled, please write to
thenntrust@gmail.com. We will respond as soon as we can.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
