The N. NatarajanCharitable TrustMoot Court Competition
A State level moot court competition in criminal law, organised by the N. Natarajan Charitable Trust in collaboration with the Madras Bar Association, and open to law students across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
Teams file written memorials for both sides, soft copies by email and hard copies by post, by the dates in the schedule.

Researcher's test
A test for each team's researcher on the proposition, assessed on its own and carrying its own award.

Preliminary rounds
The opening oral rounds, argued before benches of Senior Advocates and judges.

Advanced rounds
The leading teams argue on through the quarter finals and the semi finals.

The final
The two finalists argue before a bench of sitting judges, followed by the valedictory ceremony.
Who is eligible
Open to law students across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The competition is open to students enrolled in a recognised law programme at an institution in
Tamil Nadu or Puducherry. Team composition, the conditions of eligibility and the memorial requirements are set
out in full in the rulebook.

Registering your team is simple, and takes about fifteen minutes once you have everything ready. If you get stuck at any point, we will gladly help you through it.
Keep these ready before you begin
Your institution's name, address and PIN code.
The name, mobile number and email of your faculty member in charge of moot court.
For each of the three team members: name, gender, year and course of study, mobile number and email.
A clear photo or scan of each member's college identity card, saved as a PDF, PNG or JPG.
The authorisation letter signed by the Head of your Institution. A ready format can be downloaded inside the form.
Your registration fee payment screenshot or transaction reference.
The steps
Open the registration form from this page while registration is open.
Enter your institution's PIN code first. The form confirms that your institution is in Tamil Nadu or Puducherry, and then opens the rest.
Fill in your institution's details and your faculty in charge's details.
Add each of the three team members, and upload each member's college identity card.
Download the authorisation letter format, have it signed by your Head of Institution, and upload the signed copy.
Pay the registration fee and upload the payment screenshot.
Submit. You will receive a confirmation email with your team code and the next steps.
